Down to the wire: I will buy either a Japanese made Telecaster or a Japanese made Jazzmaster. I play solo jazz guitar ; finger style, mainly standards, along with Beatles tunes mixed in. Having a limited choice of only these two guitars which would you go for?

Would a 1972 Fender Telecaster Deluxe be a good guitar?

I have never played it but guitarist Graham Coxon used it when he was with Alternative Rock band Blur. I’m looking for a mild country/distorted sound. I’m not a guitar solo persno. I like to play riffs and patterns and play around with the thicker strings.

its the re-issue not the original just wanted some opinions on the matter as there are many humbucker pickups out there but which ones would be the best fit for it as they are wider than normal and have a versatile tone?

would it be easy to replace a faceplate on my fender telecaster without removing the strings?

basically i want to replace my faceplate but not my strings. it looks simple enough but my neck pickup would need to be unscrewed too wouldn’t it? would this be difficult to put back once the new faceplate is fitted? any help would be appreiciated, cheers.

i want to make a full scale maple neck fender mustang, and i was just wondering, is this possible? what if about jazzmaster/jaguar necks? what would i have to do to the neck pocket to make it fit?

im on a budget and i think the jazzmaster is a really smart looking guitar but i think the pick guard is kind of a turnoff i was wondering where i could get a pickguard that would fit
